Weekend of Fun

Lilly helps make some butter

Lilly picks out her pumpkin

We had lots and lots of fun this weekend. Nana, Lilly and I spent Saturday afternoon at Latta Plantation for the Folklife Festival while Todd and the boys spent the afternoon at the baseball park. The Folklife festival is a fall festival with a tour of the plantation home, shopping with many period and modern craft vendors, living history demonstrations, and live bluegrass music. We had a good time looking at all the different things that were offered and Lilly even had a chance to help make some butter!

After the festival, we came back home and let the babies take a nap. After dinner, we headed back over to Latta Plantation for the Halloween Fright Festival. They had a haunted hay ride, pony rides, pony express, face painting, pumpkin patch, and more. We skipped the haunted hay ride but James and Lilly did the pony express ride and picked out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
Today, we stayed around the house and played most of the day. Todd left for New York early this morning before we woke up. Nana took all the kids to Target to get some decorations for Halloween. When they got back, they decorated the house. James really gets into the decorations. He is so funny!

We all enjoyed the visit with Nana and Pup. They all love her and Pup so much. Everyone hates when it's time for her to leave and go back home. They all wish she could stay forever!
